How do i set up online for PS3 with a 3 usb modem ?

Im getting a ps3 in 2 days and i want to know if i will be able to play games online with my 3 usb internet modem which is 3,6mb/s and its in another room upstairs , or do u just plug the usb modem into the ps3 and it works ? how do i set it up ? and if by any chance i can hav e ps3 online with a wireless usb 3 modem (by the way im not using a laptop , normal computer)which looks like that: http://owlsbeak.com/3G_USB_modem.jpg





And what do i do ? do i just press like connection test and thats it ? do you need any device or something

You could do it, but not by plugging the modem directly into the PS3. You'd have to plug it into a PC, and then share the connection with the PS3 using Internet Connection Sharing (assuming you have a PC that runs Windows).





However, I strongly advise you NOT to do this. Mobile broadband is basically for web surfing and email - it's totally unsuitable for online gaming. The lag on the connection makes games unplayable, and the restrictive download limits could be a problem too.





Get cable or ADSL based broadband if you're serious about using your PS3 online. It'll be cheaper and faster for use with your computer too. I don't understand why you have mobile broadband when you don't have a laptop - that's kind of the whole point of it!
