PS3 online?

how can i get online for my PS3. my friends say that all i have to do is plug my ethernet cable into my router, or something, and it should work. But there my router is only a small simple black box with no ports.





shall i buy a new router, and if so how do i keep my current internet service provider?PS3 online?
You need a broadband modem/router with at least one free port (after all your computer(s) are plugged in). PS3 will also connect wirelessly if you have a wireless router that is already setup for your home computer network.





You also need to go to the Sony Playstation Network website and create a PSN account, this is all detailed in the PS3 manual.PS3 online?

get a wireless router and all you have to do is connect your PS3 wirelessly
if its a 60gb it will pick it up automatically
Get a router and wherever your Modem for your internet service provider is, put the router right next to the modem and then you use an ehternet cable to connect it to the router. so the modem is now connected to the router and if you can get your ps3 and try to see if you can put it next to your router and get another ethernet cable and hook up the ps3 and the router together. if you can do that, you will instantly get internet. otherwise ask about how you set up a wireless connection
