Ps3 online?

I know how to set up online, i had it going for 2 months but then something went wrong with my computer. After a week we got the internet to work on my computer but the ps3 cant get internet connection but it says i have an ip address. when i try to sign in it says ';a connection to the server couldnt be established. this is a dns error'; what should i do?Ps3 online?

What it could be is that you might need to go to your router settings on your pc (get your router ip and type it in the address bar). Then try going to something called ';access list'; or something like that. This shows you all the devices that are permitted to use your network. Check your ps3 mac address and see if there is an unknown device in the list of devices that haven't yet been given permission to use your network. If it is just add it and apply. This is how i (finally) got my online working. Hope this helps.
You seem to have an issue here. You might have to ping your computer. Get the IP Addres through start - program - run and type cmd. in the dos window, type ipconfig.


use the ip address to connect to the explorer and try to follow the process to link your PS3. I hope it helps.
