If I'm not mistaken, the 20GB PS3 had no wireless connection. You must use an ethernet cable. I'm sorry, but you really need to research expensive electronics before buying.
Sony is about to come out with a 120GB Slim. I'd recommend selling your 20GB and buying the new Slim for $300.
