How to set up ps3 online using a wired connection

I Have a phone modem hooked up to my online for my computer and I've been trying to get my ps3 online I have the ethernet cable. My ps3 though wont successfully put dsl number or ip address can any one help me with this How to set up ps3 online using a wired connection
You first need a wireless router with a broadband connection. you then connect the ethernet cable to your router which should be connected to your computer. you then go to ';settings'; on your PS3, ';Network settings';, ';Internet Connection settings';, click ';Easy';, click ';wired connection'; then the rest should be done automatically How to set up ps3 online using a wired connection
connect the ethernet cable from the modem to your ps3


go to network settings under settings.. and scan it. i should detect it if not.. go back and instead of auto scanning click on manually entry and enterthe numbers on the back of the modem its gonna ask for the wep key too...

ok connect ur ethernet cable in ur ps3 and got network connections and go to go to test connection and make sure it is on wired connection not on wireless connection and if it dont work u should call some to check ur modem out....hope this helps
Make sure the Ethernet cable is hooked into the dsl correctly.


Or there is something wrong with the Ethernet cable or dsl
